Full disclosure: we're Ryz Labs, and we build AI systems with client teams, which puts us up against both Wizeline and HatchWorks AI. We'll make our case, and we'll also flag where each firm is the better fit. What we say about them is drawn from their own pages and Clutch, with links at the end.
On paper these two sell similar things: Forward Deployed Engineers and pods where engineers work with AI agents. What splits them is how long you spend before the build. Wizeline offers a "2-day AIR+ Workshop" with "No commitment required." HatchWorks AI opens with GenROI, an AI strategy and roadmap stage of 4 to 8 weeks, and then builds through its GenDD method. Want a quick scoping session and a large vendor that can staff across regions? Wizeline. Want a structured strategy phase and help with adoption afterwards? HatchWorks AI.
If you've already scoped the work and want senior engineers building on your team without another discovery phase, we'd recommend Ryz Labs.
Here is every public price signal we found, checked October 2026. Most firms in this market don't publish a rate card, so we show the hourly band on their Clutch listing and convert it to a monthly figure for one full-time engineer.
Monthly figures are our math at 160 hours a month. Directory bands are entered by the firms themselves and are not quotes, so ask each vendor for a written monthly price for the same roles at the same seniority.
Wizeline is a broad services firm with an AI layer. Founded in 2014 and majority owned by CDPQ since 2021, it still sells Studio, Project and Staff engagements next to its AI offers. Its tagline is "Nearshoring AI Engineering," and its AIR+ framework bundles WIZEBrain, WIZECores and WIZEAcademy. On its FDE page it cites a publisher client that saw a "40% increase in organic traffic" within 60 days, which is its case claim. It also says it holds the AWS AI Services Competency with agentic and generative AI specializations.
HatchWorks AI is an AI specialist with a method. It calls itself a "pure-play AI and data transformation partner" and says it has "100+ certified engineers" trained in GenDD, Claude and ML workflows. GenDD promises a "first production release in 8 to 12 weeks," and GenEQ covers change management afterwards. It partners with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Cloud and Databricks and says its people "work in the same time zones as the clients they serve."
So Wizeline gives you more ways to buy and a bigger, more spread-out bench. HatchWorks AI gives you a narrower, more prescriptive path from strategy to adoption.

Workshops and strategy stages are useful when the use case is open. When it isn't, every week of discovery is a week the system isn't running.
Straight to building. We can usually start in under two weeks once you say go. A pod of about seven senior engineers, including a tech lead, an ML engineer and backend engineers, joins your repos, CI and standups and shows working software in weekly demos. See how AI pod teams work.
Proof in a regulated workflow. A Ryz pod built marketing-compliance review for a leading alternative asset manager: more than 8,000 documents, with review time cut from days to hours, all inside the client's environment. Read the compliance case study.
Individuals or a pod, your choice. Ryz engineers work on your team, reporting to your leads. Start with two senior engineers or a full pod, and add disciplines as the system grows.
A rate, not a framework. Mid-level engineers run $7,000 to $10,000 a month and senior engineers $10,000 to $15,000; five senior engineers come to about $50,000 to $75,000 a month.
Read our single comparisons, Ryz Labs vs Wizeline and Ryz Labs vs HatchWorks AI, or the wider lists: Wizeline alternatives, HatchWorks AI alternatives, Wizeline competitors and HatchWorks AI competitors.
Wizeline lists it as a two-day session with "No commitment required." AIR+ is its framework for tech services "powered by Generative AI," bundling WIZEBrain, WIZECores and WIZEAcademy.
HatchWorks AI lists FDEs and Agentic AI Pods as separate ways in, so ask whether your engagement can start at the build. GenROI itself runs 4 to 8 weeks.
HatchWorks AI says "100+ certified engineers." Wizeline doesn't publish a certified count on the pages we read, though it runs WIZEAcademy for training.
Pods demo every week, and most of our engineers ship code in their first week. Share your use case and we'll scope the pod.
We checked both firms' offers in October 2026. AI service models change quickly, so confirm current terms with each one.
