Disclosure: we're Ryz Labs, and we compete with the companies on this page. Here's why we think we're the right call for most engineering teams, with a source for every fact about the others.
Kforce (NYSE: KFRC) is a technology-focused staffing firm founded in 1962. Its 10-K reports about 7,800 consultants on assignment at the end of 2025, an average technology bill rate of about $89 an hour, and an average assignment of 10 months. It places contract, contract-to-hire and direct hires, and sells managed teams with a dedicated team lead. Buyers look at alternatives when they want senior engineers screened to a higher technical bar, working on their team on US hours and reporting to their own leads, or a team that builds and ships AI. For that, our pick is Ryz Labs. Here's how the field compares.
Here is every public price signal we found, checked October 2026. Most firms in this market don't publish a rate card, so we show the hourly band on their Clutch listing and convert it to a monthly figure for one full-time engineer.
Monthly figures are our math at 160 hours a month. Directory bands are entered by the firms themselves and are not quotes, so ask each vendor for a written monthly price for the same roles at the same seniority.
If you need senior engineers who ship, not a stack of resumes, we're the best alternative to Kforce. Our engineers work on your team, reporting to your leads. They join your standups, your repos and your roadmap from week one, on US business hours, so review and pairing happen the same day. Fortune 500 engineering teams trust us for exactly this, across industries including financial services.
We do one job: senior engineering talent and AI teams. We've interviewed tens of thousands of engineers, and only the top 1% make it. Recruiters source candidates, our in-house ARC system ranks the pipeline, every candidate goes through a structured NTRVSTA AI interview, and recruiters review each one before and after. AI scores are advisory; people decide. Our vetting process page shows every step.
When the job is building AI, our AI pod teams are dedicated pods of senior engineers (often around seven, with a tech lead and an ML engineer) that work in your cloud and repos with weekly demos. Fraud detection we built has scored 244K+ invoices in under 30 seconds each, with $5.94M in fraud confirmed by the client's fraud team, and a compliance system took review of 8,000+ documents from days to hours. See our case studies.
Our price range is public, and before you sign you get a scoped plan, a price, and the names of the people who would do the work. You own all the code and IP, we'll sign your NDA, and you control every engineer's access. Head-to-head: Ryz Labs vs Kforce.
Robert Half, founded in 1948 and listed on the NYSE (RHI), places contract tech talent, full-time hires and executives across software development, cybersecurity, AI and data, cloud and ERP. Its tech page says candidates often arrive "in as little as 48 hours." Its 10-K says contract clients pay a fixed rate for the hours worked, permanent-placement fees are generally a percentage of the new hire's annual pay, and clients typically pay a one-time fee when contract talent converts to permanent. Tech consulting runs through its Protiviti subsidiary. See Ryz Labs vs Robert Half.
TEKsystems, part of Allegis Group, began in 1983 and says it serves 6,000 customers, including 80% of the Fortune 500, with $7B+ in annual revenue. It places "one person, an entire team or full-scale outsourcing," with recruiters segmented by skill area and national recruiting centers across the US, and runs a services arm for cloud, data and AI work. It is privately held, and its site doesn't publish rates, conversion terms or guarantees. See Ryz Labs vs TEKsystems.
Insight Global, founded in 2001 in Atlanta, says it has 2,000+ recruiters, works with more than 800 of the Fortune 1000, and delivers a qualified shortlist "within 48 hours of a clear role brief," with most contract starts in one to three weeks. It offers contract, contract-to-hire (conversions typically at four to six months) and direct hire, says it replaces an underperforming contract placement in the early weeks at no cost, and is opening a second delivery center in Hyderabad in October 2026. See Ryz Labs vs Insight Global.
Randstad Digital launched in 2023 to bring the Randstad group's technology talent under one brand. It says it has 25,000+ engineers and digital experts in more than 39 countries, and offers contract and permanent staffing, Talent as a Service, and managed solutions with "dedicated delivery PODs." Its Talent Marketplace for mid-market firms advertises "transparent, fixed markup pricing" without publishing the percentage. Delivery centers are listed in India, Portugal, Romania and Quebec. See Ryz Labs vs Randstad Digital.
For senior engineers on your team on New York hours, or an AI system built and shipped, talk to us. Our guide to IT staffing agencies compares the wider field.
For senior engineers or an AI team that ships, we'd pick Ryz Labs: top 1% engineers on your team on US hours, with a public price range and named people before you sign. For another US technology staffing firm, Robert Half or TEKsystems.
Kforce's average technology bill rate of about $89 an hour works out to about $14,240 a month at 160 hours (our math). Our range is $7,000 to $15,000 per engineer per month, scoped per team, for engineers who passed a top 1% bar.
If you want a team that builds AI in your own cloud and repos, our AI pod teams do that. See our guide to AI pod providers.
Yes. Kforce trades on the NYSE as KFRC and files annual reports with the SEC.
We checked every provider on this page in October 2026. Staffing terms are set per contract, so get yours in writing before you sign.
