Arc (arc.dev) publishes its pricing. For freelance developers, its pricing page lists "$15 - $110+" per hour, and its FAQ says "most Arc Developers charge between $60-100+/hour (USD)." For full-time hires, Arc charges "20% of the annual salary" per hire, and it says you pay "$0 until you hire." It offers a trial of up to two weeks for freelance roles and a 3-month replacement guarantee for permanent hires.
Those prices buy individual developers from a global pool, whom you then manage. Arc runs two main models, plus a conversion path between them.
Arc says its freelance talent is "Top 2% of talent, fully vetted," after a five-step process: application screening, a coding assessment, a hands-on project, a behavioral interview, and a technical interview with a senior engineer.
Seniority. The spread from $15/hr to $110+/hr mostly reflects experience. Arc's pricing page starts at $15/hr, while its FAQ puts most developers at $60-100+/hr.
Location. Arc says most of its developers are in the US, Europe and Latin America. Location shapes the rate and the time-zone overlap, which depends on the developer you hire.
Freelance vs full-time. A freelancer is billed by the hour with nothing up front. A full-time hire costs 20% of salary once, then the salary.
Management time. Arc places individuals. Day-to-day direction, and coordination if you hire several people, stays with you.
