Full disclosure: we're Ryz Labs, and we're one of the options on this page. We think we're the better choice for most teams, and we'll show you why. Everything we say about other companies comes from their own sites and public listings, linked at the end.
BairesDev and Toptal run different models. BairesDev is a nearshore software company, mostly in Latin America, that staffs engineers, dedicated teams run by its own PMs, and whole outsourced projects. Toptal is a global network of freelancers you hire individually, hourly, part-time or full-time, and manage yourself.
For most US teams that want senior engineers inside their own team on US hours, or an AI pod team that builds inside their cloud and ships to production, the better choice is Ryz Labs. You get top 1% senior engineers within about one hour of US time zones, and before you sign you see a scoped plan, a price and the names of the people who would do the work.
BairesDev was founded in 2009 in Buenos Aires and has US operations in San Francisco. It says it has 4,000+ engineers across 100+ technologies and 500+ client companies. It sells staff augmentation, dedicated teams led by BairesDev's technical PMs, and full project outsourcing, and says teams are ready in 2-4 weeks. It doesn't publish rates or a trial; Clutch lists $50-$99/hr and a $50,000+ minimum project.
Toptal was founded in 2010 and is a fully remote network of freelancers. It says it has served 35,000+ clients in 140+ countries. You hire freelancers hourly, part-time or full-time at a fixed weekly price, plus a $79 monthly matching subscription, and it says the average time to match is under 24 hours. It offers a trial of up to two weeks. Clutch lists $100-$149/hr and a $50,000+ minimum.
Senior engineers who become part of your team. Our senior Latin American engineers join your standups, repos and roadmap from week one, within about one hour of US time zones. They work to your leads as part of one team, so the code and the knowledge stay with you. Review and pairing happen the same day.
Top 1%, out of tens of thousands interviewed. Recruiters source candidates, our in-house ARC system ranks the pipeline, structured NTRVSTA AI interviews test each one, and recruiters review before and after. AI scores are advisory; people make the decisions. You choose from a recruiter-curated shortlist. Our vetting process page shows every step.
AI pod teams that ship to production. When you need AI built, a dedicated pod of senior engineers (about 7, including a tech lead, an ML engineer and backend engineers) works inside your cloud, repos and CI, with weekly demos. Our pods built a marketing compliance system for a global capital management firm that took review of 8,000+ documents from days to hours, an AI voice platform with 1M+ outbound calls, and fraud detection with $5.94M in confirmed fraud. See our case studies.
