Full disclosure: we're Ryz Labs, and Nortal is a competitor. We think we're the better pick for most US engineering teams, and we explain why below. Every fact about Nortal comes from its own website and news releases, linked at the end.
For most US engineering teams, Ryz Labs is the better choice. You get top 1% senior engineers who join your standups, your repos and your roadmap, working US business hours. When you need AI built, an AI pod team of senior engineers builds it in your cloud, alongside your people, and ships it to production. Before you start, you get a plan, a price and the names of the people who would do the work, and we can usually start in under two weeks once you say go.
Nortal is a digital transformation company headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, with more than 25 years of work for governments, healthcare systems and enterprises. It reported €254.2 million in 2025 revenue, says it has 2,700+ people in 30 offices, and sells staff augmentation, AI-native delivery teams, platform work and cybersecurity. It fits if you want one firm across Europe, the Middle East and the Americas, especially for public-sector or regulated programs. If you want senior engineers working on your team, on New York hours, pick Ryz.
Every engineer on US hours. Nortal staffs from Europe as well as Latin America, so your team's hours depend on which hub it comes from. Every Ryz engineer works US business hours, including New York hours, so standups, pairing and code review happen the same day.
A faster start with named people. Nortal publishes a four to eight week start for staff augmentation. We usually start in under two weeks once you say go, and you meet the named engineers before the engagement starts.
AI pod teams that build in your cloud. Our pods are dedicated senior engineers who build AI systems in your AWS or Azure account, on your GitHub, with your data in Postgres and models from Anthropic and OpenAI. One accountable team, no proprietary platform lock-in. See how AI pod teams work. Our pods have shipped fraud detection for a global fleet company that has scored 244K+ invoices in under 30 seconds each, with $5.94M in fraud confirmed by the client's own fraud team, and a marketing-compliance system for a leading alternative asset manager that took review of 8,000+ documents from days to hours. See our case studies.
Top 1% vetting you can inspect. We've interviewed tens of thousands of engineers, and only the top 1% make it. Recruiters source, our in-house ARC system ranks the pipeline, and every candidate goes through a structured NTRVSTA AI interview, with recruiter review before and after. AI scores are advisory, people decide, and you run the final interview from a curated shortlist. Our vetting process page shows every step.
Published pricing. Nortal doesn't publish rates. We do, so you can budget a team before the first call.
Nortal says it delivered 40% of Estonia's digital government services and has run more than 100 transformation projects for governments, healthcare institutions and companies. It is a NATO-approved supplier and has grown through acquisitions. In July 2025 it bought Nearsure, a US-based firm with 650+ professionals across 18 Latin American countries, which Nortal called the largest acquisition in its history; Nearsure was rebranded to Nortal by the end of 2025, and Pwrteams was folded into the Nortal brand in May 2026. (Our Ryz Labs vs Nearsure page covers the former Nearsure business.) Nortal says AI-first delivery is now its standard model, with a target of 70% AI-first delivery company-wide by the end of 2026.
Here is every public price signal we found, checked October 2026. Most firms in this market don't publish a rate card, so we show the hourly band on their Clutch listing and convert it to a monthly figure for one full-time engineer.
Monthly figures are our math at 160 hours a month. Directory bands are entered by the firms themselves and are not quotes, so ask each vendor for a written monthly price for the same roles at the same seniority.
Nortal doesn't publish rates; pricing comes through its contact form. For its end-to-end AI-native teams it promises "full cost transparency throughout, with usage reporting included as standard," and its AI-enabled staff augmentation tracks AI usage against your budget. Its Clutch listing shows the hourly rate and minimum project as undisclosed.
Our pricing is per engineer. Typical cost is $7,000 to $15,000 per engineer per month. Mid-level engineers (comparable to Amazon L5) run $7,000 to $10,000 a month, senior engineers (comparable to Amazon L6) run $10,000 to $15,000, and leads are $15,000+ and quoted per team. A five-person senior pod is about $50,000 to $75,000 a month. See our AI engineer rates.
