Start with the calendar. Nortal's staff augmentation page says "4-8 weeks to get started," with specialized platform staffing "in under 30 days." BairesDev says teams are "ready in 2-4 weeks." Then ask what else you want from the vendor. Nortal, a Tallinn-based firm that bought Nearsure in 2025, can wrap staffing in platform, cybersecurity and public-sector work. BairesDev keeps the focus on supplying engineers across 100+ technologies. Choose Nortal if you want staffing as part of a broader transformation partner. Choose BairesDev if staffing is all you're buying and speed matters.
If speed matters most and you want the people to be senior and answer to your leads, Ryz Labs is our recommendation.
Here is every public price signal we found, checked October 2026. Most firms in this market don't publish a rate card, so we show the hourly band on their Clutch listing and convert it to a monthly figure for one full-time engineer.
Monthly figures are our math at 160 hours a month. Directory bands are entered by the firms themselves and are not quotes, so ask each vendor for a written monthly price for the same roles at the same seniority.
Nortal is a consultancy that grew a nearshore arm. It has more than 25 years behind it, 2,700+ people and 30 offices across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and North America. 2025 revenue was EUR 254.2 million, up 15%. Its public-sector work is the headline (it says it delivered "40 percent of Estonia's e-transformation"), and it is a NATO approved supplier. Buying Nearsure in July 2025 and folding in Pwrteams by May 2026 gave it staff augmentation in Latin America and Europe. It claims "95% of the talent in our pool have over 3 years of experience" and holds ISO 9001 and ISO 27001.
BairesDev is a staffing company first. Founded in 2009 in Buenos Aires and bootstrapped, it says its engineers "average 10+ years of experience" and that 96% of placements are "the right fit on the first try." It sells staff augmentation, dedicated teams with its own PM and Scrum Master, and full outsourcing, and since 2026 an AI Transformation line. It lists Anthropic and OpenAI Select Partner badges on its homepage.
The practical difference: Nortal gives you a wider menu, including onshore people in the US and Canada "where engagements require it." BairesDev gives you a faster, narrower path to engineers.

Nortal says "96% candidates pass the trial period." It doesn't publish the trial length on the page we read, so ask how long it is and what happens if someone doesn't pass.
