Wizeline Competitors (2026): Who Else to Shortlist

Six firms buyers put next to Wizeline, sorted by how you pay for an AI pod: outcomes, tokens, hours, features or people.

Full disclosure: we're Ryz Labs, and we're on this list. So yes, we're biased. Here's what we'd actually tell a friend, including when you should hire someone else. Every fact about Wizeline and the other firms comes from what they publish, with sources at the end.

TL;DR

Almost every firm on this list now sells something called an AI pod, but they price it in completely different units. Wizeline prices Agentic Pods on outcomes. Globant bills per supervised token. Azumo prices per feature. Others bill by the hour or by the engineer. So the question that decides your shortlist is: what unit does your finance team want to pay for? Pick the unit first, then compare firms that sell it.

Why buyers comparing Wizeline are different

Wizeline is a 2014 firm with about 2,000 people on its own count, majority-owned by CDPQ since 2021. It now leads with "Nearshoring AI Engineering" and sells Studio, Project and Staff engagements, Agentic Pods and Forward Deployed Engineers. Its Agentic Pods page is unusually open: it compares a 10-person traditional pod at $120,000 a month with an agentic pod of six people plus agents at $86,400 by month 12, and says pods "align pricing to outcomes."

That makes Wizeline buyers more price-model aware than most. They have usually seen pod pitches from several firms and noticed the units don't line up. One vendor's pod is people plus agents paid on outcomes. Another's is agents supervised by experts and billed per token. Ours is a team of named senior engineers billed per person. None is wrong. They suit different budgets and different levels of control.

Wizeline buyers usually need one of three things

  1. A vendor-run pod paid on outcomes or consumption. Wizeline, Globant and Nortal sell versions of this.
  2. A defined build at a known price, scoped up front. Azumo prices this per feature.
  3. Senior engineers on your team, building the system with your leads, at a known monthly cost. That is what Ryz does.

1. Ryz Labs (us)

Best forPaying per named senior engineer, with your leads in charge
Pricing$7,000 to $15,000 per engineer per month, published
Talent based inSenior engineers working US business hours, including New York hours

Our AI pod teams are people, not a platform. A typical pod is about seven senior engineers, including a tech lead, an ML engineer and backend engineers, working on your team and reporting to your leads. They build in your cloud, repos and CI with the tools you already use (AWS, Azure, GitHub, Postgres, Anthropic and OpenAI models). You meet each one by name before the engagement starts, and a pod can start in under two weeks once you say go.

The unit is simple: five senior engineers run about $50,000 to $75,000 a month, and leads are quoted per team. Our pods built a driver-support agent that covers about 218,000 calls a year in three languages, and AI fraud detection that confirmed $5.94M in fraud for a global fleet company. You own all code and IP, and there is no proprietary platform lock-in. See our case studies.

Where we're not the right fit: if finance wants to pay on outcomes or tokens instead of people, Wizeline or Globant matches that budget model. If you need delivery in Europe or Asia time zones, a global firm fits better. If you want a fixed price per feature, look at Azumo. See Ryz Labs vs Wizeline.

2. Globant

Best forConsumption-priced AI Pods inside a large firm
PricingNo public rate card; Glob.AI publishes plan tiers and billing units
Talent based inGlobal; 28,773 employees in 31 countries at the end of 2025

Globant describes its AI Pods as human-supervised delivery units that combine documented workflows, AI agents and expert supervision, billed per supervised token on Glob.AI. Most of the rest of its work is billed hourly.

Where Globant beats us: a true consumption model if procurement wants one, at large scale. The catch: you buy metered output, not a team you pick by name. See Globant AI Pods vs Ryz AI pods.

3. HatchWorks AI

Best forStrategy, build and adoption from one AI-only firm
PricingNot published
Talent based inUS-led teams plus Costa Rica, Colombia and Peru

HatchWorks AI was founded in Atlanta in 2016 and says it refocused entirely on AI after November 2022. It sells three stages: GenROI (strategy, 4 to 8 weeks), GenDD (build, with a first production release in 8 to 12 weeks) and GenEQ (change management), delivered through Forward Deployed Engineers, Agentic AI Pods or a full program.

Where HatchWorks beats us: the same firm writes the roadmap, builds and runs adoption training. The catch: it scopes price per business outcome, so you won't see a number before a conversation.

4. Nortal

Best forAI-native teams inside a large consultancy
PricingNot published
Talent based inLatin America and Europe, plus onshore US and Canada when required

Nortal, which acquired nearshore firm Nearsure in 2025, sells AI-native teams where agents draft specs, code and tests and senior engineers validate every output. It says it tracks token use across every sprint so clients can forecast cost.

Where Nortal beats us: a consultancy with 30 offices and platform specialists for Salesforce, ServiceNow, Adobe and Microsoft. The catch: rates aren't published.

5. Gorilla Logic

Best forLong-running nearshore pods for product and platform work
PricingNot published
Talent based inCosta Rica, Colombia and Mexico

Gorilla Logic sells staff augmentation, Gorilla Pods and multi-stream delivery, plus Gorilla Logic Construct, which it describes as delivery-tested workflows and modular AI agents. It says average client tenure is 8.5 years.

Where Gorilla Logic beats us: long, vendor-led relationships. The catch: Clutch lists a $250,000+ minimum project.

6. Azumo

Best forA fixed price per feature before work starts
Pricing$499 to $899 per Delivery Unit, published
Talent based inLatin America

Azumo is a San Francisco nearshore firm that says it has built AI software since 2016. It prices projects per Delivery Unit, "a defined, testable piece of working software," and also offers dedicated teams and staff augmentation.

Where Azumo beats us: you see the price and timeline for a scoped build before you start. The catch: it fits defined scope better than open-ended roadmaps.

Our pick

If finance wants a known monthly cost per person and your leads want control: Ryz Labs.

If procurement wants consumption pricing: Globant.

If you need help deciding what to build as well as building it: HatchWorks AI.

If the scope is clear and you want a price per feature: Azumo.

If an outcome-based pod with a vendor running it is what you want: stay with Wizeline. Its Agentic Pods are built for that.

What we'd do this week

  1. Ask your finance lead which unit they can approve fastest: people, outcomes, tokens or features.
  2. Send each vendor the same brief and ask for a 12-month cost in that unit.
  3. Ask who decides architecture: your lead, the vendor's lead, or an agent workflow.
  4. Confirm the code, agents and data stay in your accounts and that you own the IP.

Questions

Who are Wizeline's main competitors?

For AI pods, Globant, HatchWorks AI, Nortal and Ryz Labs. For nearshore programs, Gorilla Logic. For fixed-price builds, Azumo. Our Wizeline alternatives page covers more options.

Does Wizeline publish prices?

Not as a rate card. Its Agentic Pods page shows example monthly costs for a 10-person traditional pod and an agentic pod. Clutch lists $50 to $99 an hour and a $100,000+ minimum project, which are directory figures.

What is the difference between an AI pod and a team of engineers?

It depends on the vendor. Some pods are mostly agents with human supervision. Ours are senior engineers who build AI systems with your team. Our guide to AI pod vs AI agency explains the trade-offs, and AI pod providers compares the field.

Which pricing model is cheapest?

There is no honest single answer, because the units differ. Price the same deliverable in each model for 12 months and compare totals.
