Heads up: we're Ryz Labs, and we're one of the options on this page, so we're biased. We've kept every fact about other firms to their own filings and announcements, listed at the end, and we say where Infosys is the better choice.
Infosys is a Bengaluru-headquartered, NYSE-listed consulting and IT services firm. It reported $20.2B in fiscal 2026 revenue (56.1% from North America), 328,594 employees and $14.9B in large-deal wins. It sells the Infosys Topaz AI suite, Infosys Cobalt for cloud, and, since February 2026, Claude-based agents built with Anthropic. Its 20-F says it offers an increasing share of its services on a fixed-price, fixed-timeframe basis. That model suits well-defined scope. Buyers look at alternatives when the scope will move as they learn, and they'd rather direct a senior team week by week. For that, our pick is Ryz Labs.
Fixed-price, fixed-timeframe work asks you to define the system before you build it. AI systems rarely hold still that long: the first evaluation run changes the prompt strategy, the data audit changes the pipeline, and users change the workflow. A Ryz AI pod team is priced per engineer per month, so when priorities change you reprioritize in a standup, not through a change request. A typical pod is about seven senior engineers, including a tech lead, an ML engineer and backend engineers, sized to the job. They work in your AWS or Azure account and your GitHub repos, run through your CI, and show working software in a weekly demo. Our guide to fixed price vs time and materials explains when each model fits.
Starting lean is part of the model. A global capital management firm needed compliance review for its marketing materials. It could have paid a systems integrator to customize Salesforce or licensed a compliance SaaS platform. Instead, a Ryz pod grew from zero to three engineers and built exactly what the compliance team needed: review for 8,000+ marketing materials a year, turnaround cut from days to hours, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in licensing avoided. See the marketing compliance case study, our other case studies, and our guide to custom software vs SaaS vs a systems integrator.
You get a scoped plan, a price and the names of the engineers before anything starts, and the people you meet are the people who build. Only the top 1% of the tens of thousands of engineers we've interviewed pass our vetting process. Pods work US business hours, including New York hours, with same-day code review, and Fortune 500 engineering teams trust us with production systems.
The cost arithmetic is simple: team size × months × monthly rate. Mid-level engineers are $7,000 to $10,000 a month, seniors $10,000 to $15,000, and leads are quoted per team. Three senior engineers for four months is 3 × $10,000 to $15,000 × 4, or $120,000 to $180,000.
Where we're not the right fit: a large mainframe exit with a fixed budget and a fixed date, follow-the-sun support across Europe and Asia, or a multi-year managed-services contract. Infosys is built for those.
Cognizant reported $21.1B in 2025 revenue and about 351,600 employees. It owns the TriZetto healthcare platforms and sells Neuro AI and Agent Foundry for enterprise agents. It's the closest like-for-like peer to Infosys. See our Cognizant alternatives.
Thoughtworks was founded in 1993 and taken private by Apax Funds in 2024. Its AI/works platform, launched in 2026, targets agentic development and modernization. See our Thoughtworks alternatives.
EPAM is an S&P 500 engineering firm with about 62,850 people, and financial services is its largest vertical. It sells the AI/Run suite and open-source DIAL platform. See Ryz Labs vs EPAM.
Globant is NYSE-listed and sells "AI Pods" as a monthly subscription in which agents do the work under expert supervision. See Ryz Labs vs Globant.

Ryz Labs, when you want a senior AI pod you direct in your own cloud and repos, on US business hours. You see a scoped plan, a price and named engineers before work starts.
No. Its site doesn't list rates, and its Clutch profile lists minimum project size and hourly rate as undisclosed. Ryz publishes ranges: $7,000 to $15,000 per engineer per month for mid-level and senior engineers.
Fixed-price fits when you can specify the system up front. A monthly team fits when the scope will change after the first evaluations and user tests, which is common with AI. Many enterprises use both for different parts of a program.
Yes. A pod can build a new AI system on your team while Infosys runs a modernization or managed-services program elsewhere in your estate.
We checked these facts in October 2026. Pricing and services change often, so confirm the details with each firm before you sign.
