Our founders

Ryz Labs was founded by Jordan Metzner (CEO) and Sam Nadler. They met at Indiana University, and they have been building companies together for almost 20 years.

• Harvard Business School Executive Fellow. Jordan teaches AI to Harvard Business School students and has for the last several years, including what is now called super intelligence.
• Amazon, four and a half years. Jordan built new products at Amazon: he built the product that became the Amazon Influencer Storefront, built the Prime Video SEO team, brought the NFL to Twitch, and built Ring Virtual Guard, which lets professional monitoring agents watch a customer's cameras while they are away.
• The Ring drone. Jordan is the first-named inventor on Amazon's "Autonomous home security devices" patents for an indoor flying security camera, the product that became the Ring Always Home Cam, co-invented with Ring founder Jamie Siminoff (US 12,230,117).
• Washio. In 2013 Jordan co-founded Washio, an on-demand laundry startup backed by Canaan Partners, which led its Series A.
• California Burrito Co. In 2006, with Sam, Jordan co-founded California Burrito Co. in Buenos Aires.

• Lyft. Before co-founding Ryz Labs, Sam was a Director of Operations at Lyft, based in Nashville.
• MIT. Sam earned his MBA at MIT.
• Washio. Sam joined Washio as VP of Operations.

Why we know Latin America

After college, Jordan and Sam moved to Buenos Aires and lived there for more than six years. In 2006 they opened California Burrito Co. and grew it to 14 stores in six countries before selling it in 2010. The chain still operates across South America today. Both founders are married to Argentines, and Buenos Aires is still a second home.

That is where our hiring judgment comes from. We have hired, managed and worked alongside engineers across the region for two decades, and we know the universities, the companies and the people. It is why only the top 1% of the tens of thousands of engineers we have interviewed make it onto client teams.
