Full disclosure: we're Ryz Labs, and we're on this list. So yes, we're biased. Here's what we'd actually tell a friend, including when you should hire someone else.
Dallas-Fort Worth has a solid set of locally headquartered software firms, mostly in the northern suburbs. The deciding question is whether you want a firm that owns delivery, ideally one you can meet in Plano, or senior engineers who join the team you already run. Both are easy to find here. We're the second kind, and we're remote.
DFW's software buyers lean toward large enterprises: financial services and insurance, telecom, energy, airlines and logistics, healthcare systems, and a long list of corporate headquarters that moved to Plano, Irving and Frisco. That means a lot of integration and modernization work: ERP and CRM connections, data platforms, and old internal apps that need to move to the cloud without stopping the business.
Dallas runs on Central time, which lines up well with Latin America. Colombia, Peru and much of Mexico share Central time or sit one hour off it for most of the year. It's no accident that the largest Dallas-headquartered firm on this list also runs offices in Mexico, Argentina and Chile.
And DFW is a driving city. A partner in Plano is close to Legacy West headquarters but a real trip from Fort Worth. Decide how much in-person time you actually need before it decides your shortlist.
Improving lists "Dallas, Texas - HQ" at an address on Legacy Drive in Plano. It offers enterprise AI, data, application and platform services, says it has 2,500+ people and 21 offices across 7 countries, and claims an NPS of 90+.
Why it fits: a large local firm that pairs Dallas leadership with Latin American offices on nearby time zones. The catch: it's a services firm built around engagements, so ask how it handles adding one or two engineers to your team.
We provide senior Latin American engineers who work on your team: your standups, your repos, your roadmap, on Central time. We're trusted by Fortune 500 engineering teams, and only the top 1% of the tens of thousands of engineers we've interviewed make it. Our AI pod teams build AI systems in your cloud and ship them to production. Our case studies include an AI driver-support agent covering calls in three languages and AI fraud detection for a global fleet company.
Why we fit: big DFW enterprises usually have architects and a roadmap already. What they lack is senior capacity in Java, .NET, Python, data engineering or cloud. See software development for Dallas companies and hire data engineers.
Where we're not the right fit: we're remote, with no Dallas office, so if you want a partner in your Plano office every week, pick Improving or ScienceSoft. If you want strategy and organizational consulting with the build, Pariveda or West Monroe fit better. And if you need engineers in Asia or Europe for follow-the-sun support, a global firm is the better match.
ScienceSoft lists its address in McKinney, "Dallas area." It says it has worked "Since 1989," has 750+ consultants and engineers, and has delivered 4,300+ projects. Services include custom development, team augmentation and legacy modernization.
Why it fits: deep regulated-industry experience with a DFW address. The catch: confirm where your delivery team sits and what hours it works.
Pariveda calls itself a strategy and technology services firm and a B Corp, with AWS and Microsoft alliances. Its locations page lists Dallas among 13 cities and shows several Dallas-based principals and vice presidents.
Why it fits: when the work starts with business strategy and ends with software. The catch: it's consulting first, so it's not a source of individual engineers.
West Monroe calls itself "a global consulting firm fluent in business and technology" and lists a Dallas office on Routh Street. Its technology practice covers AI, cloud, cybersecurity and data.
Why it fits: process and operating-model work alongside the software. The catch: consulting pace and pricing.
Chetu is headquartered in Sunrise, Florida, and lists a software delivery center in Plano. It says it has over 2,800 developers and has worked since 2000.
Why it fits: breadth and a DFW delivery center. The catch: much of its delivery is in India, so confirm which team works your hours.
BairesDev says it has 4,000+ engineers, mostly in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico, who "work your hours."
Why it fits: a large nearshore bench on US time. The catch: pricing isn't public. See Ryz Labs vs BairesDev.
If you want a Dallas firm with nearshore delivery, Improving.
If you're in a regulated industry and want a local address, ScienceSoft.
If the project starts with strategy, Pariveda or West Monroe.
If you have a team and need senior engineers on Central time, that's us. See also nearshore software development companies.
Only if you need regular in-person work. Most delivery happens remotely, and time-zone overlap matters more than an address.
None of the firms here publish rates. Estimate team size times months times monthly rate. Three senior engineers at $12,000 a month for six months is $216,000 at our rates.
Mexico, Colombia and Peru share Central time or sit one hour off it most of the year. Argentina, Chile and Brazil run two to three hours ahead.
Choose a consultancy if you need leadership and a delivery plan. Choose engineers on your team if you already have leads and a roadmap. Our guide to staff augmentation vs outsourcing goes deeper.
We checked pricing and services for every provider here in October 2026. This changes often, so double-check before you sign anything.
