Full disclosure: we're Ryz Labs, and we're on this list. So yes, we're biased. Every fact about other firms below comes from their own filings, sites or announcements, with sources at the end, and we say plainly when Accenture is the right call.
Accenture is the largest firm in this field. It reported $74.2B in revenue for fiscal 2026, about 814,000 people and roughly 9,000 clients, split almost evenly between consulting ($36.9B) and managed services ($37.3B). It sells "Reinvention Services", the AI Refinery platform, and since December 2025 an Accenture Anthropic Business Group with about 30,000 people trained on Claude. Buyers look at alternatives when the job is narrower than a reinvention program: one system, built exactly to spec, by senior engineers you met, in your own repos. For that job, our pick is Ryz Labs. If the job really is enterprise-wide transformation, stay with Accenture.
An Accenture program and a Ryz pod answer different questions. Accenture is built to coordinate change across many business units and countries at once. A Ryz AI pod team is built to ship one system. A typical pod is about seven senior engineers, including a tech lead, an ML engineer and backend engineers, sized to the work. They join your standups, commit to your repos, run through your CI, and show working software in a weekly demo. They build in AWS, Azure, GitHub and Postgres, with Anthropic and OpenAI models.
Here is the clearest example we have. A global capital management firm needed compliance review for its marketing materials. The usual options were to pay a systems integrator to customize Salesforce, or to license a compliance SaaS platform. Instead, a Ryz pod that grew from zero to three engineers built exactly what the compliance team needed. It now reviews 8,000+ marketing materials a year, review time dropped from days to hours, and the firm avoided hundreds of thousands of dollars in licensing. See the marketing compliance case study and our other case studies.
How you work with us is plain. Talk, Match, Join, Grow: you tell us the problem, we match a pod to your stack, the pod joins your team, and you grow it or take the system over when it's done. Before anything starts, you get a scoped plan, a price, and the names of the people who will do the work. The people you meet are the people who build. Because the pod is a team you direct, changing priorities is a standup conversation, not a new statement of work. Only the top 1% of the tens of thousands of engineers we've interviewed make it through our vetting process, and Fortune 500 engineering teams trust us with production systems.
Pricing is public. Mid-level engineers are $7,000 to $10,000 a month, seniors $10,000 to $15,000, and leads $15,000+, quoted per team. A three-engineer pod of seniors for six months is 3 × $10,000 to $15,000 × 6, or $180,000 to $270,000. For strategy plus build, see our AI consulting page.
Where we're not the right fit: a board-level transformation, a multi-country rollout, or a large managed-services contract. Accenture is built for those, and it's the better buy.
Deloitte reported US$74.5B in fiscal 2026 revenue and nearly 500,000 people in 150+ countries and territories. It sells agentic AI work in three phases (strategy, build, operate) and Zora AI, a set of ready-made agents for finance, HR, procurement and other functions, offered as a cloud subscription. If Deloitte is your auditor, independence rules limit some systems work it can do for you. More in our Deloitte alternatives.
Thoughtworks is an engineering-led consultancy founded in 1993 and taken private by Apax Funds in 2024. In 2026 it launched AI/works for agentic development and Agent/works for governing agents in production. It is the nearest thing to Accenture's consulting arm with an engineering-first culture. See Ryz Labs vs Thoughtworks.
EPAM is an S&P 500 engineering firm with about 62,850 people. It sells managed delivery, consulting, the AI/Run suite and the open-source DIAL platform. It is the engineering-heavy alternative when you still want one global vendor. See our EPAM alternatives.
Globant is NYSE-listed and sells "AI Pods" as a monthly subscription in which AI agents do the work under expert supervision. It suits buyers who want a productized way to buy capacity. See Ryz Labs vs Globant.

Ryz Labs, when the job is one system rather than a transformation program. You get a dedicated pod of top 1% senior engineers working in your cloud and repos on US business hours, a scoped plan and price up front, and the names of the people before they start.
No. Accenture doesn't publish rates or minimums. Ryz publishes ranges: $7,000 to $15,000 per engineer per month for mid-level and senior engineers, with leads quoted per team.
It depends on how close the off-the-shelf tool fits. When a team needs something specific, a senior pod can build exactly that, as in our marketing compliance case study. Our guide to custom software vs SaaS vs a systems integrator walks through the trade-offs, and our build vs buy AI guide covers the AI-specific questions.
Yes. Large programs often leave one system that needs a dedicated team. A Ryz pod can build that system on your team while the wider program continues.
We checked these facts in October 2026. Pricing and services change often, so confirm the details with each firm before you sign.
