Heads up: we're Ryz Labs, so we have skin in this game. What follows is the advice we give buyers on calls, including the times we tell them to go with someone else.
Most people searching for Nearsure alternatives are reacting to one change. Nortal, a consultancy headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, acquired Nearsure in July 2025, and Nearsure rebranded as Nortal that December. Nearsure.com now redirects to nortal.com. What used to be a dedicated LatAm staffing company is now one service line ("IT Outsourcing") inside a firm that says it has 2700+ people and 30 offices. Nortal doesn't publish rates or detailed vetting, its own page quotes a 4-8 week ramp for staff augmentation, and a couple of Clutch reviewers mention slow recruiting. None of that makes Nortal a bad choice. If you want certified enterprise platform specialists or delivery from both Latin America and Europe, it's a strong fit, and we say so below.
If you came to Nearsure for senior Latin American engineers working inside your team, that is our core business. Fortune 500 engineering teams trust us for it. Our engineers join your standups and repos from week one and work within an hour of US time zones. Only the top 1% make it: recruiters source, our in-house ARC system ranks the pipeline, structured NTRVSTA AI interviews narrow it, and a recruiter curates the shortlist before you run the final interview. We also run AI pod teams, dedicated pods of senior engineers that build AI systems inside your cloud and repos. Read how we vet on our vetting process page.
Where we're not the right fit: if you need engineers in European time zones, or certified Salesforce or ServiceNow specialists inside a consultancy, Nortal is better set up for that. We also don't publish self-serve pricing. For a head-to-head, see Ryz Labs vs Nearsure.
If you liked Nearsure's LatAm model but want a vendor whose main business is still nearshore engineering, BairesDev is the obvious large option. They say they have 4,000+ engineers across 100+ technologies, offer staff augmentation, dedicated teams and project outsourcing, and that teams are ready in two to four weeks. The catch: pricing isn't published, and some Clutch reviewers mention rate increases and early developer churn.
Distillery, founded in 2012 and based in Manhattan Beach, California, says it has over 250 professionals and offers staff augmentation, dedicated agile teams and full custom development. Like Nortal, it delivers from Latin America and Eastern Europe. It says it's an Anthropic services partner and an OpenAI Select Partner, and it holds a 5.0/5 Clutch rating from 14 reviews. The catch: one Clutch reviewer said a project paused because Distillery "weren't providing enough profiles," so ask about bench depth for your stack. See Ryz Labs vs Distillery.
Jobsity is a pure LatAm staffing firm. It says it charges "flat monthly rates with no additional fees for placement or recruitment," offers a 30-day risk-free trial, and lets you downsize with 30 days' notice. It claims a 95% average retention rate. The catch: its Clutch profile has only five reviews, and it also runs a contact center business alongside engineering. See Ryz Labs vs Jobsity.
If the Nortal acquisition pushed you toward wanting a big firm anyway, Softtek is one of the largest Latin American IT services companies. It's based in Monterrey, Mexico, says it has 16,000 people, and sells outsourcing on SLAs rather than time and materials. It's CMMI Level 5. The catch: it's built for managed services and big programs, not for adding a few engineers to your team. See Ryz Labs vs Softtek.
Stay if your engineers are performing well. Switching costs real time, and Nortal says it keeps talent for three years on average. Stay if you need delivery from both Latin America and Europe, or certified Adobe, Microsoft, Salesforce or ServiceNow specialists, which Nortal says it has 350+ of. Stay if you actually want the broader consultancy: capability centers, transformation work and AI-native teams from one vendor. Nortal's Clutch rating is 4.8/5 from 35 reviews, so most clients seem happy.
Consider moving if your account changed after the rebrand in ways you don't like, if recruiting has slowed, or if you want top 1% senior engineers embedded in your own team on New York hours, plus AI pod teams that ship to production. Our guide to nearshore developer partners for New York companies compares the wider field.
Yes. Nortal acquired Nearsure in July 2025 and rebranded it as Nortal in December 2025. Some Clutch reviews are labelled "Nortal (formerly Nearsure)."
For LatAm engineers embedded in your team, look at us, BairesDev and Jobsity. For a vendor that also owns delivery, look at Distillery or Softtek.
If you want individual AI engineers in your team, most firms here can staff them. If you want a dedicated team that builds and ships an AI system in your cloud, look at AI pod teams like ours. Our nearshore AI engineering teams guide covers more options.
The LatAm-focused firms (Ryz, BairesDev, Jobsity) overlap well with US Eastern time. Distillery and Softtek also deliver from Europe or Asia, so ask where your team will sit.
