Quick note before we start: this was written by Ryz Labs, and we're one of the options below. We're biased, so we've been straight about where others beat us.
Wizeline is a large managed engineering partner. It says it has about 2,000 employees, delivers from the Americas, Europe and Vietnam, and now brands itself around AI with "Agentic Pods" and Forward Deployed Engineers. People look for alternatives for structural reasons. Clutch lists a $100,000+ minimum project, which rules out small starts. Delivery is spread across regions, so US-hours LatAm talent isn't guaranteed. One Clutch reviewer mentioned the team changing a couple of times. And with only 10 Clutch reviews, there's limited public review evidence for a firm its size. If you want one managed partner for big multi-team programs, Wizeline is a strong pick, and we say so below.
If you want senior engineers working inside your team rather than a vendor-run program, start with us. Fortune 500 engineering teams trust us for exactly this. Our engineers join your standups and repos from week one, within an hour of US time zones. Only the top 1% make it: recruiters source, our in-house ARC system ranks the pipeline, structured NTRVSTA AI interviews narrow it, and a recruiter curates the shortlist before you run the final interview. Our AI pod teams are dedicated pods of senior engineers (often around seven, with a tech lead and an ML engineer) that build AI systems inside your cloud and ship them to production. See our case studies.
Where we're not the right fit: if you want a vendor to own delivery across many workstreams, or teams in Europe or Asia, Wizeline or Globant is built for that. For a head-to-head, see Ryz Labs vs Wizeline.
If you picked Wizeline for scale and AI branding, Globant has more of both. It's NYSE-listed with about 28,800 employees at the end of 2025, and it sells "AI Pods" as a subscription where AI agents do work under Globant expert supervision, alongside traditional engineering programs. The catch: it's a big-company engagement, and its AI Pods buy metered agent capacity, not a named team in your standups. See Ryz Labs vs Globant.
If Wizeline's $100K+ minimum is the problem, Distillery offers a similar mix (staff augmentation, dedicated teams, full development) with a $25,000+ minimum on Clutch. It says it's an Anthropic services partner and an OpenAI Select Partner, and it holds a 5.0/5 Clutch rating from 14 reviews. The catch: with over 250 professionals, its bench in niche skills can be thin; one reviewer said it wasn't "providing enough profiles." See Ryz Labs vs Distillery.
Softtek, based in Monterrey, says it has 16,000 people and sells on SLAs rather than time and materials. It's CMMI Level 5 and ISO 42001 certified, and uses its own GenAI platform, FRIDA, in delivery work. The catch: it's built for managed services and big programs, not for embedding a few engineers. See Ryz Labs vs Softtek.
Nortal acquired Nearsure in 2025 and now sells LatAm and European staff augmentation, platform-certified staffing and "AI-native teams" alongside consulting. It says it has 2700+ people. The catch: its own page quotes a 4-8 week ramp for staff augmentation. See Ryz Labs vs Nearsure.
Stay if you want a managed partner running several product, cloud or data workstreams, and you don't have the leads to manage the work yourself. Stay if you need teams in Europe or Vietnam as well as the Americas. Stay if your current team is delivering: Wizeline's 4.9/5 Clutch rating suggests most clients are happy, and switching costs real time. And stay if its Agentic Pods model fits how you want to buy AI work.
Consider moving if you want senior engineers embedded in your own team on New York hours, if you've seen team turnover, or if you want an AI pod team that builds in your cloud and hands the system to your people. Our guide to forward deployed engineering firms compares more options.
For a metered, agent-heavy subscription, look at Globant. For a dedicated team of senior engineers building in your cloud, look at AI pod teams like ours. Our nearshore AI engineering teams guide covers more.
Clutch lists a $25,000+ minimum for Distillery and $5,000+ for Softtek, versus $100,000+ for Wizeline. We scope per team, starting from a few engineers.
We're all Latin America, on US hours. Globant, Distillery, Softtek and Nortal also deliver from Europe or Asia, so ask where your team will sit.
