Disclosure: we're Ryz Labs, and our senior engineers and AI pod teams compete with what both Gorilla Logic and Azumo sell. We're biased, and we'll make our case, but we'll also be clear about where each of them is the stronger choice. Every fact about them links to their own pages or Clutch below.
Before you compare anything else, guess how long you'll need outside help. Gorilla Logic says its "average client tenure sits at 8.5 years," and its Clutch profile shows a $250,000+ minimum project with most projects between $1M and $9.99M. It's designed for a long, broad partnership across product, platform and quality engineering. Azumo sits at the other end: its Starter tier prices MVPs and single-feature builds that run up to 2 to 6 weeks, at $899 per Delivery Unit. If you're planning years, Gorilla Logic. If you're testing an idea over a few weeks, Azumo.
If your honest answer is "months, and it'll grow," with senior people your own leads direct, we'd put Ryz Labs on the shortlist.
Here is every public price signal we found, checked October 2026. Most firms in this market don't publish a rate card, so we show the hourly band on their Clutch listing and convert it to a monthly figure for one full-time engineer.
Monthly figures are our math at 160 hours a month. Directory bands are entered by the firms themselves and are not quotes, so ask each vendor for a written monthly price for the same roles at the same seniority.
Gorilla Logic plays the long game. Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado (per Clutch), it opened its San José, Costa Rica center in 2014 and Medellín in 2019, and also works from Guadalajara and Mexico City. Its vetting is described as "a deliberately hard vetting process," and it says "most candidates do not pass." Its Construct library is pitched to "cut engineering effort by 30 to 80 percent," which is its claim. Clutch lists it at 250 to 999 employees.
Azumo prices the deliverable. Headquartered in San Francisco and "building production AI since 2016," it designs, builds and staffs "AI driven web, mobile and data solutions" from Latin America, aligned to US time zones. Its pricing page publishes a sliding scale: Starter $899, Growth $699 and Platform $499 per Delivery Unit, with Custom on request. For staff augmentation, its architects handpick people, you meet and choose them, and extra resources "learn your application and sit in reserve."
The trade-off is commitment against flexibility. Gorilla Logic expects you to stay and gives you a deep bench across disciplines. Azumo lets you buy one priced piece of software and stop.

Most AI and product work we see doesn't fit either end. It runs for months, the scope moves, and the team that owns it is yours.
No minimum, no unit math. You pay per engineer per month: mid-level (comparable to Amazon L5) $7,000 to $10,000, senior (comparable to L6) $10,000 to $15,000. Changing scope is a conversation with your lead, not a new quote. Check the numbers on our rates page.
High-volume AI, proven by the client. A Ryz AI pod team built fraud detection for a global fleet company that has scored 244K+ invoices, each in under 30 seconds, and surfaced $5.94M in fraud the client's own fraud team confirmed. See the fraud detection case study.
No vendor platform to keep paying for. One accountable team, no proprietary platform lock-in. You own the code and IP, and when the work is done you can keep the pod, add disciplines or take the system over.
People you meet first. Named engineers you meet before the engagement starts, working on your team and reporting to your leads, on US business hours.

Its staff augmentation page lists a "3-4 week ramp" for Gorilla Pods, against "1-2 week" for staff augmentation and "4-8 week" for multi-stream delivery.
For staff augmentation, Azumo says extra resources "learn your application and sit in reserve." Ask how that's billed.
Azumo, on structure: its Starter tier is built for proofs of concept and MVPs. Gorilla Logic's $250,000+ Clutch minimum points to larger programs.
Pods work in your repos and CI and hold weekly demos, so your leads see working software every week. Tell us the timeline and we'll scope a team.
We checked both firms' pricing and services in October 2026. These change, so confirm terms with each vendor before you commit.
