Fintech software development company: senior teams on US hours

Senior fintech engineering teams that build payments, ledgers, lending workflows, KYC/AML integrations and data platforms, with the controls auditors and partners ask for.

Ryz Labs is a fintech software development company that delivers senior engineering teams: they build payment flows, double-entry ledgers, lending workflows, KYC/AML integrations, card and banking APIs and the data platforms behind them, in your repos and cloud. Every engineer comes from the top 1% of the tens of thousands we interview, works on your team on US business hours, including New York hours, and is trusted by Fortune 500 engineering teams. You get a dedicated team that owns a scoped system, or senior fintech software developers who join your sprints.

Fintech software development services differ from general product work in one way: a bug moves money or shows up in an audit. Our teams work with fintechs, lenders, payment companies and larger financial institutions; see our fintech and financial services pages for how we work in each.

What we build

How an engagement works

What happens after you contact us: We'll sign your NDA before we share profiles or start work. The first call covers what you are building, your processor and partner stack, and the controls your partners or auditors expect. It ends with a written scope, a price and the names of the people who would do the work.

Talk. We learn the product (card program, lending, payments or internal finance) and the deadlines your partners set.

Match. We propose a tech lead with fintech experience plus the backend, data, frontend and QA engineers the scope needs, people who have worked with your rails and vendors.

Join. The team works in your repos, cloud accounts and vendor sandboxes, with access you control. You own all code and IP the team produces.

Grow. Add engineers as you launch new rails or products, or hand the finished system to your team with runbooks and tests.

Week 1 is typically access, reading the existing services and ledger, and mapping every money movement end to end. By month 1 the usual picture is a first flow in your sandbox with idempotency, ledger entries and reconciliation in place, plus the test suite that guards it. By month 3 teams are often running that flow in production behind limits and moving to the next one. Each stage depends on scope, partner approvals and how quickly access arrives.

How we keep money movement correct

Fintech systems rarely fail loudly. They double-charge on a retry, drift a few cents from the processor, or lose the record of why a decision was made. Senior engineers build against that:

Proof from production: an AI pod built fraud detection for a global fleet company that has scored 244K+ invoices in under 30 seconds each and surfaced $5.94M in fraud confirmed by the client's own fraud team. More in our case studies.

Team shapes and cost

Typical Ryz cost is $7,000 to $15,000 per engineer per month: mid-level $7,000 to $10,000, senior $10,000 to $15,000, and leads $15,000 or more, quoted per team (see rates by role).

Project cost is team size × months × monthly rate, so a flow squad that runs four months at $45,000 per month costs from $180,000. Every quote is scoped per team, with a plan, a price and names before you start.

Dedicated team or staff augmentation?

A dedicated development team fits when you want one team to own an outcome: a new card program, a ledger rebuild or a lending workflow, with a tech lead accountable for delivery. Staff augmentation fits when your architects already own the design and you need more hands: you can hire fintech developers who join your sprints. Either way, Ryz engineers work on your team, reporting to your leads. Many of our engineers are based in Latin America, so they share your working day for code review, incidents and partner calls. If the scope is AI-heavy, see financial services AI engineering.

When Ryz isn't the right fit

Ryz builds your software; we do not sell a core banking platform or a compliance opinion, so if you want an off-the-shelf platform, a platform vendor fits better. If you need a self-serve freelance marketplace for short hourly gigs, or engineers on European or Asian hours, other providers will serve you better. A board-level transformation program belongs with a large consultancy.

FAQ

What does a fintech software development company do?

It designs and builds the systems that move and account for money: payment flows, ledgers, lending and onboarding workflows, card and banking integrations, and the data behind them. Ryz delivers that as senior engineering teams on US business hours.

How much does fintech software development cost?

Cost is team size × months × monthly rate. Typical Ryz rates are $7,000 to $15,000 per engineer per month; a tech lead plus three senior engineers starts at $45,000 per month, and a seven-person platform team starts at $72,000. You get a plan, a price and names before work starts.

How fast can a fintech team start?

After the scoping call we propose a team with names, and engineers can start in under 2 weeks once you say go. Most of the timeline after that depends on scope, your onboarding and vendor sandbox access.

Can your engineers work within PCI DSS and SOC 2 requirements?

Yes. Our engineers work under your controls and have experience with PCI DSS and SOC 2 requirements: they reduce card data scope with tokenization and produce change, access and review evidence through normal engineering work. Your assessor and auditor make the determinations.

Do you offer fintech software development outsourcing?

Yes. A dedicated Ryz team can own delivery of a scoped system, such as a payments service or reconciliation platform, with a tech lead accountable for it. You keep ownership of all code and IP, and access to your accounts stays under your control.
