Heads up: we're Ryz Labs, and we're the first option on this page. We'd rather be useful than coy about that, so we also say when HatchWorks AI is the better call. Facts about HatchWorks and the other firms come from their own sites and public listings, linked at the end.
HatchWorks AI is an Atlanta company, founded in 2016, that calls itself a "pure-play AI and data transformation partner." It pairs US strategists with nearshore engineers in Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru and Brazil, and sells Forward Deployed Engineers, Agentic AI Pods and full transformation programs under its GenROI, GenDD and GenEQ method. Buyers look elsewhere for structural reasons: they already have an AI direction and want engineering capacity their own leads direct, they want a published price per engineer, or they'd rather not adopt a partner's methodology. For that, our pick is Ryz Labs. If you want one firm to own AI strategy, build and adoption together, HatchWorks is a sensible place to stay.
Here is every public price signal we found, checked October 2026. Most firms in this market don't publish a rate card, so we show the hourly band on their Clutch listing and convert it to a monthly figure for one full-time engineer.
Monthly figures are our math at 160 hours a month. Directory bands are entered by the firms themselves and are not quotes, so ask each vendor for a written monthly price for the same roles at the same seniority.
Fortune 500 engineering teams trust us for two things. The first is senior engineers: only the top 1% of the tens of thousands of engineers we've interviewed make it, and they join your standups, repos and roadmap on US business hours, including New York hours. That's our staff augmentation business. The second is AI pod teams: dedicated pods of senior engineers that build AI systems in your cloud and ship them to production. A typical pod is about seven people, including a tech lead, an ML engineer and backend engineers, working in your AWS or Azure account, your GitHub and your CI, with a weekly demo.
The main difference from HatchWorks is who sets the direction. HatchWorks brings a strategy-to-adoption method and its own FDE certification pipeline. We bring senior engineers who work to your leads, in your process, with no proprietary platform or methodology to adopt. Pods have shipped fraud detection for a global fleet company that has scored 244K+ invoices in under 30 seconds each, with $5.94M in fraud confirmed by the client's fraud team. See our case studies.
We price per engineer. Mid-level engineers (comparable to Amazon L5) are $7,000 to $10,000 a month, seniors (comparable to Amazon L6) are $10,000 to $15,000, and leads are quoted per team. A five-person senior pod is about $50,000 to $75,000 a month. You get a scoped plan, a price and the names of the people before you start, and we can usually start in under two weeks once you say go. For the head-to-head, see Ryz Labs vs HatchWorks AI.
Where we're not the right fit: you want a partner to set your AI strategy or run a change-management program, you want a fractional Chief AI Officer, or you need a vendor that holds a SOC 2 attestation itself (our engineers have experience working within SOC 2 standards, but we don't claim the attestation).
Tribe AI is an AI services firm with offices in New York, San Francisco and Lisbon. It works in three phases, Map, Build and Activate, using forward-deployed engineers to ship production systems, and says it is SOC 2 Type II certified. It is the closest match to HatchWorks's strategy-through-adoption shape. See our Tribe AI alternatives.
Gorilla Logic, founded in 2002 and headquartered in Colorado, runs delivery centers in San José, Costa Rica and Medellín, Colombia, plus teams in Mexico. It sells staff augmentation, "Gorilla Pods" and multi-stream delivery, with published ramp ranges by model. It suits larger programs. See Ryz Labs vs Gorilla Logic.
Wizeline has operated since 2014 and says it has about 2,000 employees, with offices in Mexico, Colombia, the US, Canada, Spain, the UK and Vietnam. Like HatchWorks, it sells Agentic Pods and Forward Deployed Engineers. Delivery can come from Vietnam and Europe as well as Latin America, so ask which team will work your hours. See Ryz Labs vs Wizeline.
Azumo is a San Francisco-headquartered nearshore software company that has built AI software since 2016, with engineers in Latin America. It is one of the few firms here that publishes project pricing, at $499 to $899 per "Delivery Unit," a testable piece of working software. See Ryz Labs vs Azumo.

Tribe AI. Both pair AI strategy with forward-deployed engineers and adoption work. Wizeline also sells Agentic Pods and Forward Deployed Engineers, at a larger scale.
No. HatchWorks says it scopes every engagement and does not publish rate cards. Clutch lists $50 to $99 an hour and a $25,000+ minimum project. We publish ranges of $7,000 to $15,000 per engineer per month.
