Full disclosure: we're Ryz Labs, and we're on this list. So yes, we're biased. Here's what we'd actually tell a friend, including when you should hire someone else.
Every company on this page delivers software from Latin America on or near US hours, so time zone won't separate them. The question that decides a nearshore outsourcing deal: how much of the delivery do you want to hand over? Some buyers want a fixed-fee project with a vendor project manager. Others want a senior team that owns a scoped system but works in their repos and standups. Pick that first, then compare.
With staff augmentation, you add engineers and your leads run the work. With outsourcing, a vendor team owns an outcome: a scope, a backlog, a release. That shifts risk to the vendor, and decisions with it. Our guide to staff augmentation vs outsourcing covers the split in detail.
Nearshore helps: a team on US hours can join your sprint review and ship a change the same day. It doesn't fix the commercial side, so read fixed price vs time and materials before you choose a contract shape.
Comparing more broadly? Our list of nearshore software development companies covers staffing-led firms too,, and software development outsourcing companies adds offshore options.
Ryz provides senior engineers in the top 1% of the tens of thousands we've interviewed, and we're trusted by Fortune 500 engineering teams. For software outsourcing, a Ryz team owns delivery of a scoped system, but it works in your repos, your CI and your standups, so nothing is hidden behind a status report. When the system is AI, an AI pod (typically about seven senior engineers, including a tech lead, an ML engineer and backend engineers) builds it in your cloud and ships it to production. See our case studies.
Why we're first for this buyer: you get the accountability of an outsourced team with the visibility of your own. For web and mobile builds, see nearshore app development.
Where we're not the right fit: if you want a fixed-fee project handed over with minimal involvement from your side, Unosquare's Outcomes model fits better. If you need follow-the-sun coverage or teams in Europe or Asia, look at Globant or Endava. And we don't run 24/7 managed operations desks.
BairesDev was founded in Buenos Aires in 2009 and sells staff augmentation, dedicated teams and software outsourcing. Its outsourcing offer is a "Full-Stack Team" it calls "Fully Managed," covering discovery through deployment. You keep priorities and sign-offs; BairesDev runs sprints and QA, with regular demos.
Why it fits: one vendor that can run several managed teams at once, with integrated QA. The catch: there's no public rate card, so you'll need a call to compare numbers. See Ryz Labs vs BairesDev.
Unosquare, founded in 2009, sells "full-cycle digital engineering services" through four models: Outcomes (fixed-fee projects), Teams, Capacity and Managed Services. Of Outcomes it says: "We own the result end-to-end with a fixed fee."
Why it fits: it's one of the few firms here that publishes project price ranges, which makes early budgeting easier. The catch: fixed-fee work rewards a stable spec, so plan how changes will be handled before you sign.
Gorilla Logic offers AI-enabled product engineering, platform engineering and quality engineering. It sells three models: staff augmentation, "Gorilla Pods" that own a product or workstream at monthly rates, and multi-stream delivery.
Why it fits: a clear pod model for buyers who want ownership without a fixed-fee contract. The catch: delivery is concentrated in two countries, so check the stack depth you need is there.
Globant was founded in 2003 and is listed on the NYSE. It calls itself "a full-stack AI company" and sells through studios such as cloud ops, design, quality engineering and enterprise apps. Its AI Pods are a monthly subscription with metered capacity.
Why it fits: one partner across design, engineering and data on a big program. The catch: it's built for large programs, so a single scoped system may not need its full machinery. See Ryz Labs vs Globant.
Softtek was founded in Monterrey in 1982 and calls itself "the pioneer of nearshore," offering nearshore services since 1997. It covers digital product development, digital operations, data and AI, cloud and application management, with partners including SAP, Salesforce and ServiceNow.
Why it fits: depth in running enterprise systems over years, not just building new ones. The catch: if you need a small product squad for a new app, its strengths lie in larger enterprise engagements. See Ryz Labs vs Softtek.
Endava was founded in 2000, is headquartered in London and is listed on the NYSE. It sells digital transformation, core modernization and cloud programs.
Why it fits: payments and insurance experience, with nearshore and European delivery from one firm. The catch: confirm in the proposal which region your team will work from.
Azumo was founded in 2016 and has a San Francisco address. It offers project delivery across AI, custom software, web and mobile, data and cloud, plus dedicated teams and staff augmentation. Its published pricing is per "Delivery Unit," which it defines as a testable piece of working software, and it says there's no minimum team size.
Why it fits: transparent pricing for buyers who think in deliverables. The catch: per-unit pricing depends on how work is sliced, so agree on what counts as a unit up front.
If you want a senior team to own a system while your engineers stay close to the code, we'd pick Ryz Labs. You get top 1% engineers on US hours and delivery you can see in your own repos.
If you want a fixed-fee project with a published price range, Unosquare. If you'd rather pay per deliverable, Azumo.
If you want a vendor to run several managed teams, BairesDev or Gorilla Logic.
If you're an enterprise running a big program or long-term operations, Globant, Softtek or Endava, depending on whether your center of gravity is new digital work, enterprise platforms or modernization in regulated sectors.
Handing a software project or system to a vendor whose team works from a nearby country on overlapping hours. For US buyers, that usually means Latin America. It differs from staff augmentation, where you add engineers and run the work yourself.
Most firms don't publish rates. Ryz costs $7,000 to $15,000 per engineer per month, mostly mid-level to senior. A project's cost is team size times duration times the monthly rate: four senior engineers at $12,000 for five months is $240,000. See LatAm developer salaries for market context.
For work that needs daily decisions with your product team, usually yes, because questions get answered the same day. For well-specified work that can run overnight, offshore can cost less. Our nearshore vs offshore guide walks through it.
Yes. Many buyers start by adding a few senior engineers, then hand a scoped system to a dedicated team. If you're hiring individuals first, see hire LatAm developers.
We checked pricing and services for every provider here in October 2026. This changes often, so double-check before you sign anything.
