Full disclosure: we're Ryz Labs, and we're a third option to both EPAM and BairesDev. So yes, we're biased, and we'll argue for ourselves below. We've still tried to give each firm a fair hearing, using only what they publish, from EPAM's 10-K to BairesDev's own pages.
Decide how much of the work you want the vendor to design. EPAM, an S&P 500 company with about 62,850 people, sells consulting, managed delivery and its own technology, including the AI/Run offerings and the open-source DIAL platform. It's the pick when you want a firm to shape and run a multi-year program. BairesDev, privately held and founded in Buenos Aires, mainly sells engineering capacity: individual engineers who report to your managers, or a dedicated team with its own PM. It's the pick when you've already decided what to build and need hands.
If you've decided what to build and want those hands to be senior, on your hours and on your team, Ryz Labs is the option we'd put in front of you.
Here is every public price signal we found, checked October 2026. Most firms in this market don't publish a rate card, so we show the hourly band on their Clutch listing and convert it to a monthly figure for one full-time engineer.
Monthly figures are our math at 160 hours a month. Directory bands are entered by the firms themselves and are not quotes, so ask each vendor for a written monthly price for the same roles at the same seniority.
EPAM sells a program, with technology attached. Its 10-K counts about 56,600 delivery professionals, and financial services is its largest vertical at 24.1% of revenue. It brings its own accelerators: AI/Run blueprints for "AI-native delivery teams," DIAL (now at version 3.0 with agentic workflows) and Agentic QA. Revenue grew 15.4% in FY2025, though EPAM's own release puts organic constant-currency growth at 4.9%, so acquisitions did much of the lifting. The Clutch band of $150-$199 an hour reflects that consulting-heavy model.
BairesDev sells people, at a lower entry point. It says 4,000+ engineers work across 100+ technologies and that 96% of placements are "the right fit on the first try." Its pages are explicit that staff augmentation engineers follow "your coding standards and processes" and that "your leads set priorities." Its value claim is relative: engineers that "typically run 30-50% less than the fully loaded cost of a local hire." It added an AI Transformation line in 2026 that runs "from assessment to production systems to capability transfer."
So, roughly: EPAM brings the plan and the tooling, and is priced like it. BairesDev brings the bench, and leaves the plan to you unless you buy its PMs.
If you're reading an EPAM vs BairesDev page, you likely want enterprise-grade engineering without buying a full consulting program or managing a large bench yourself. That's our lane.
Senior people, priced in the open. We publish what we charge: mid-level engineers (comparable to Amazon L5) at $7,000 to $10,000 a month, senior (comparable to L6) at $10,000 to $15,000, leads quoted per team. Compare that with the Clutch bands above using our rates page.
Regulated AI work, done on the client's side. A Ryz AI pod team built marketing-compliance review for a leading alternative asset manager, taking more than 8,000 documents from days of review to hours. It runs in the client's cloud, under the client's controls. Read the compliance case study.
No accelerator to adopt. One accountable team, no proprietary platform lock-in. Our pods build in your AWS or Azure, GitHub and Postgres, with Anthropic and OpenAI models, and you can revoke access at any time.
Hours that match yours. Every Ryz engineer works on your team, reporting to your leads, on US business hours. We can usually start in under two weeks once you say go.

No. EPAM released DIAL as open source. EPAM's consulting and AI/Run work often uses it, so ask whether your program would depend on it.
EPAM reported 15.4% headline growth and 4.9% organic constant-currency growth in its Q4 2025 release. The gap is mostly acquisitions.
BairesDev says they "report directly to your managers and follow your coding standards and processes." Dedicated teams instead include a BairesDev PM and Scrum Master.
Yes. Pods build in your cloud and accounts, so your own controls apply. We'll sign your NDA before sharing profiles. Talk to us about the workflow.
Every figure here was checked in October 2026. Big vendors reorganize offers often, so confirm terms in writing.
