Globant alternatives

Five firms to consider if Globant's AI Pods or its size aren't the right fit, and when they are.

We'll say this up front: Ryz Labs wrote this page, and we're one of the companies on it. When another option is the better call, we say so plainly.

Globant is a NYSE-listed digital and IT services firm that grew out of Buenos Aires. It had 28,773 employees at the end of 2025 and $2.45B in FY2025 revenue. Its newest offer is "AI Pods": a monthly subscription with token-metered capacity, where AI agents do the work under the supervision of Globant experts, now sold through its Glob.AI platform. People look elsewhere for a few reasons. The AI Pods model pays for supervised agent output, not a dedicated named team embedded in your systems. It's also young: AI Pods were $20.6M in ARR against about $2.45B in revenue in FY2025. Pricing isn't published (Glob.AI describes a minimum usage fee plus a variable fee, with no amounts). And the financial-services AI results Globant cites are anonymized. If you want a big, listed vendor with a productized way to buy AI work, Globant may still be your best fit.

1. Ryz Labs (us)

Best forEngineering leaders who want named senior engineers building AI inside their own stack
PricingCustom quote, scoped per team
Talent based inLatin America, in your time zone

If you want senior engineers who build AI inside your own cloud and ship it to production, start with us. Fortune 500 engineering teams trust us, and our AI pod teams are the opposite bet from Globant's. Instead of metered agent capacity, you get a dedicated pod of senior engineers (often around seven, including a tech lead, an ML engineer and backend engineers) who work in your cloud, repos, CI and standups, with weekly demos. We work in AWS, Azure, GitHub and Postgres, with Anthropic and OpenAI models. When the system is done, you can grow the pod or take it over. One pod built a fraud detection system for a global fleet company that has scored 244K+ invoices and surfaced $5.94M in fraud confirmed by the client's own team. More on our case studies page.

Where we're not the right fit: if you want a board-level transformation program, a consumption-priced catalog or a proprietary AI platform, Globant or another large consultancy is built for that. We also don't have audited public financials, and we don't publish self-serve pricing. We serve US enterprises across industries, including financial services. See Ryz Labs vs Globant for the full comparison.

2. EPAM Systems

Best forLarge financial institutions running broad engineering and AI programs
PricingNot published
Talent based inGlobal; largest sites in India and Central/Eastern Europe

If you chose Globant for scale and public-company disclosure, EPAM is the like-for-like option. It's an S&P 500 firm with about 62,850 people, and financial services is its largest vertical (24.1% of FY2025 revenue). It brings its own accelerators: the open-source DIAL orchestration platform and AI/Run blueprints for AI-native delivery teams. The catch: Clutch lists a $100,000+ minimum project, and most delivery headcount is in India and Central/Eastern Europe, so US Eastern overlap depends on the team.

3. Thoughtworks

Best forAI-assisted legacy modernization led by a consultancy
PricingNot published
Talent based inGlobal; mostly Asia-Pacific

Thoughtworks is an engineering-led consultancy founded in Chicago in 1993, now private. It launched two platforms in 2026: AI/works for agentic development and modernization, and Agent/works for governing agents in production. Its best-known public case study moved a global lender from a monolith to microservices, and Thoughtworks says the new consumer lending line reached $800M in revenue within 24 months. The catch: that's a modernization result, not an AI one, and its workforce is weighted to Asia-Pacific.

4. BairesDev

Best forScaling LatAm engineering capacity when your team owns the architecture
PricingNot published
Talent based inLatin America

BairesDev offers the same LatAm time-zone advantage as Globant with a simpler model. They say they have 4,000+ engineers and can start teams in two to four weeks, through staff augmentation or "Dedicated Teams" described as pods with BairesDev technical PMs. They also build agentic systems and custom LLM work. The catch: AI is one of 100+ technologies they cover, not a dedicated AI practice.

5. Tribe AI

Best forHigh-value, well-scoped use cases that need senior AI specialists
PricingNot published
Talent based inContractor network; offices in New York, San Francisco, Lisbon

Tribe AI builds production systems with forward-deployed engineers drawn from a network of senior AI practitioners. Its Map, Build and Activate phases cover strategy and adoption, not only the build. It joined Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise for Legal and Financial Services program in 2026. The catch: per TechCrunch, talent works on contracted projects, which can affect continuity on long engagements.

When to stay with Globant

Stay if you need breadth at scale. Globant reports about 27,000 technology professionals and 944 customers each worth more than $100K a year, so it can staff very large programs across many locations. Stay if your procurement team wants a productized, SKU-like way to buy AI work: Glob.AI offers three pod models (Software, Operations and Catalyst) on a usage-based subscription. Stay if you value public-company disclosure and audited financials. And if your platform choices include Anthropic, AWS, OpenAI or Google Cloud, Glob.AI lists partnerships with all four.

Consider moving if you want people, not metered agents, accountable for your system, or if you want named, reference-able results before you commit. Our guide to AI pod providers explains how each firm defines a "pod."

Questions

What's the difference between Globant's AI Pods and an AI pod team?

Globant's AI Pods are a subscription where agents do the work and Globant experts supervise, billed by token usage. An AI pod team, like ours, is a group of named engineers who join your team and build the system in your stack.

Which Globant alternative is best for financial institutions?

EPAM has the biggest financial-services practice by revenue. Thoughtworks has a public lending modernization case. We serve US enterprises across industries, including financial services, with dedicated AI pod teams that ship to production. See our guide to AI engineering teams for financial institutions.

Is there a nearshore alternative to Globant?

Yes. BairesDev and Ryz Labs both deliver from Latin America on US hours. EPAM also has about 2,950 people in Mexico.
