Encora is a large product engineering firm with more than 9,000 employees, nearshore delivery in Latin America and offshore delivery in India, per coverage of its sale. India-based Coforge completed its acquisition of Encora in April 2026, and encora.com now redirects to coforge.com. That's the main reason people look around. Analyst firm Everest Group has flagged integration risk, the standalone brand is gone, and Encora publishes no pricing, vetting process or time-to-staff. Its Clutch profile had no reviews when we checked. None of that means you should leave. Softtek is the closest like-for-like swap: a large Latin American services firm with India delivery too. It's based in Monterrey, says it has 16,000 people, and sells on SLAs. It's CMMI Level 5 and ISO 42001 certified and uses its own GenAI platform, FRIDA, in delivery work. The catch: like Encora, it's built for managed programs, not embedded engineers. Globant is NYSE-listed with about 28,800 employees at the end of 2025. Alongside traditional engineering programs, it sells "AI Pods" as a subscription with AI agents supervised by Globant experts. If you want a bigger, standalone engineering firm, EPAM had about 62,850 people at the end of 2025 and $5.457B in FY2025 revenue. It sells managed delivery and dedicated teams plus its own AI offerings, such as AI/Run and the open-source DIAL platform. The catch: it's priced and structured for very large programs. Wizeline says it has about 2,000 employees and sells Studio, Project and Staff models plus "Agentic Pods" and Forward Deployed Engineers. It holds a 4.9/5 Clutch rating from 10 reviews. The catch: a $100,000+ minimum on Clutch, and some delivery sits in Vietnam and Europe. See Ryz Labs vs Wizeline.
Stay if your program is running well. Switching a large engineering vendor mid-program is expensive and risky. Stay if you need a nearshore and offshore mix at scale, which Coforge's larger platform should make easier. Stay if Encora's healthcare or hi-tech depth is central to your work. And stay if your account team has stayed stable through the acquisition; that's the best sign the integration isn't affecting you.
Consider moving if service has slowed since the deal, if you want senior engineers embedded in your own team on New York hours, or if you want an AI pod team that builds an AI system in your cloud and hands it over.
