When you hire a development team through Ryz Labs, you get senior engineers who already work as a unit: a tech lead, the engineers the scope calls for, and QA or design where needed. Every person is in the top 1% of the engineers we interview. The team works on your roadmap, in your repos and on US business hours, and ships to production.
This is the first decision, and it shapes everything after it. Hiring individuals works when you already have the leadership, the backlog and the review capacity, and you are short on hands. Hiring a team works when the work needs its own leadership, or when your engineers are fully booked and cannot onboard and direct new people. Signs you need a team, not more individuals:
If none of these apply, adding individual engineers through staff augmentation is usually the faster route. We will tell you which one fits during the first call.
There is no standard team. The shape follows the work. These are the patterns we see most:
Teams can grow or shrink as the work changes. You can add a discipline mid-project, or hand the system to your own engineers when it is done.
Every engineer goes through the same process as our individual hires. Recruiters source people with production experience in your stack. ARC, our in-house system, ranks the pipeline. Candidates complete structured NTRVSTA AI interviews, and recruiters review each one before and after. AI scores are advisory, and humans make the decisions. For a team, we also pick the tech lead first and build around them, so the people fit the lead's way of working as well as the stack. You meet the shortlist and approve each person.
Ryz is not the right fit if you want a management consultancy to run a strategy program, or a team in European or Asian time zones for follow-the-sun coverage. For a deeper look at the team model itself, see our page on the dedicated development team.
The steps are Talk, Match, Join and Grow. In Talk, we learn the scope, the stack and who on your side will lead. In Match, we propose a team shape and a shortlist for your review. In Join, the team gets access, joins your standups and starts on the backlog with weekly demos. In Grow, you add people or disciplines, or hand the system over when it is done.
Cost is simple arithmetic: team size, times monthly rate, times duration. Engineers typically run $7,000 to $15,000 per month each, and leads are $15,000 or more, quoted per team. For example, a five-person team with a lead at $15,000 and four engineers at $10,000 each comes to $55,000 a month. The team works US business hours, including New York hours, with same-day code review.
Start with the smallest team that covers the skills the work needs, usually four to six people including a lead. It is easier to add a person once the team has a rhythm than to coordinate a large group from day one.
It works with them. Ryz engineers work on your team, reporting to your leads, and use your tools, repos and review process. Talk to us to scope your team.
Multiply team size by the monthly rate and the number of months. Mid-level engineers are $7,000 to $10,000 per month, senior engineers $10,000 to $15,000, and leads $15,000 or more. You get a plan, a price and the names of every person before you start.
Our engineers work remotely across the Americas on US business hours, so the team overlaps with yours for the whole working day and joins your ceremonies live.
Yes. You can start with two or three senior engineers, then add a lead, QA or design as the scope becomes clear. The people already on your team stay, so you keep the context they have built.
